善德關愛科研青年發展計劃(北京西安航天科技發展考察團) (Organized by The Hong Kong Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology)

Theme: To arouse students’ interest in aerospace technologies, encourage students to explore around and allow them to learn more in the recent development of the aerospace technologies in China.

 

Young Scientists Study Tour 2016 (Organized by Education Bureau, the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Chinese University of Hong Kong's Department of Physics)

9 -15 July 2016

Theme: To allow students to learn more about the work of world scientists in the study of particle Physics. In the programme, students visited the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN, largest particle accelerator in the world - the Large Hadron Collider) and the Paul Scherrer Institut - the largest research facility for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland.

Theme: To provide students to learn more about civil engineering, the importance of sustainability, infrastructure and urban development of Hong Kong. The programme consisted of site visit of MTR Express Rail Link and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, workshops and a debriefing seminar.

Science Presentation Contest 2016

23 Jan 2016 (preliminary contest) and 23 April 2016 (final contest)

Theme: To foster the pursuit of science knowledge among students and enhance students' presentation and communication skills. Students were required to conduct a five-minute science presentation, with the use of props or hands-on experiments. They had to determine their own presentation topics under the subject of physics.
